Carley and Jared’s Wedding in Apple Valley and Photo Session in Downtown Minneapolis at the Stone Arch Bridge

Last year the wedding season weather was hot! This year it’s looking to be a lot cooler! When we started our shoot with Carley and Jared at the Stone Arch Bridge it was 42 degrees, by the time we got done it was snowing and closer to 32! They did great job considering how hard it is to pose and look warm in that kind of weather! Jared and Carley are a sweet couple and I think we were able to capture that, even in the cold! Congratulations Carley and Jared!  You can view a video slideshow here!

Sammi and Mike’s Engagement Session on the Farm in Mayer Minnesota

The wedding and engagement season has officially begun! We really lucked out with the weather. The day we shot this session, the weather cleared up just enough to get a couple of hours of some great shooting in.  We met Sammi at Tessa and Jake’s wedding last fall, and we are honored to be chosen to shoot Sammi and Mike’s wedding. Sammi and Mike did a great job posing for us, even with the cool weather! Video Slide Show!

Aubrey’s First Photo Session!

My daughter just had a baby, and we all know what that means, Baby photos! My wife and daughter put a lot of work in getting this photo session setup. Planter, background lighting, making the little hat, blankets and more. The trick to getting good baby photos is turn the heat in the room up to 85 to 90 degrees, which is great for Aubrey, but we’re all sweating! The other important trick is the baby must be under two weeks old if you want to sleeping photos. You can move them around into different positions and for the most part they just sleep! Except when they are getting hungry!
